Quilting fires the imagination, touches the heart, and warms body and soul. Come to Lowell, Massachusetts this August to experience one of the country’s foremost celebrations of the art and craft of quilting. In addition, museums and galleries around town are partnered with the New England Quilt Museum to offer special exhibits featuring the very best in textile arts. From historic Lowell’s cotton mills to stunning traditional quilts and the latest work from contemporary fiber artists.

- a Thursday evening lecture* by Marianne Fons, co-founder of "Fons & Porter Love of Quilting" magazine and television program, along with her daughter Mary Fons, current co-host of the TV program and founder of the "Hey Quilty" website
- a Friday morning panel discussion with Marianne Fons, Mary Fons and other quilt community innovators
- jaw-dropping special exhibits
- speakers and trunk shows
- a top-notch vendor mall
- participation by dozens of area galleries and restaurants
- enhanced visitor services, including free shuttle service, comfortable seating, package checking, delicious meal options and a
